Gahai is shallow water full of weed, and there is a boardwalk so that you do not have to look at it from the shore. I photographed the surface instead of the view: reeds standing in it, rain landing on it, leaves packed on it, and once a single island of grass in a plate of grey water with the cloud lying inside it. The one frame with a horizon in it is the boardwalk's own corner. By the time I reached Zhagana the light was going. I have the crags in silhouette, the village arriving as lights under mist rather than as buildings, and the moon coming up behind the trees. The mountain everyone drives there for is in one frame of this. The rest is what the day did instead - a window, a woodpile, two armchairs left out on a lawn.
尕海的水很浅，长满水草，有栈道，所以不必从岸上看它。我拍的是水面本身，不是那个景：立在里面的芦苇，落在上面的雨，堆在上面的叶子，还有一次是一小丛草浮在一整片灰水里，云躺在里面。唯一带地平线的一张，是栈道自己的那个转角。 到扎尕那的时候光已经在走了。我有山岩的剪影，有村子以灯的形式从雾里出来、而不是以房子的形式，还有从树后面升上来的月亮。所有人开车去那里要看的那座山，在这个序列里只占一张。其余的是这一天另外做的事情——一扇窗，一堆柴，两把被留在草地上的椅子。
