Hangzhou out of season. A skewer of candied haws held over green water with its reflection hanging below it, a moorhen standing on a stone jetty behind a bamboo rail, three persimmons on a wooden stool in an empty grey room, a lotus pond gone down to bare stalks, a sky with nothing in it but a contrail. The crowds are elsewhere, which is also what the building is about: one corner of it seen from below, pale stone, a black louvre grille and a mirror pane holding a tree and a strip of blue. Three surfaces locked together with nobody in front of them.
杭州，淡季。一串糖葫芦举在绿水上方，倒影挂在下面；一只黑水鸡站在竹栏后的石台上；三只柿子放在空荡荡的灰屋子里的木凳上；荷塘只剩下光杆；天上一道飞机尾迹，别的什么都没有。人都不在——那栋楼说的也是这件事：从下面看它的一个转角，浅色的石头、一片黑色的格栅、一块镜子玻璃里装着树和一条蓝色。三种面咬在一起，前面一个人也没有。
