Samarkand, almost entirely looking up. A honeycomb vault of blue and gold tiles, a dome seen straight up with a rosette at its centre, deep sky in the gap between two tiled minarets, a courtyard through an arch, one wide square with figures crossing it, a dark passage between crumbling walls. Whatever was at eye level did not survive the edit.
