A round glass atrium looked at straight up, the floor numbers 13 and 14 in brass on a black wall, a concrete V framing a window on to a curved facade, a corridor of glass holding the skyline, a room walled in black and white stripes. Then the museum: a stone court of long low benches and still water, curved forms hanging overhead, a row of gold shafts in the dark. Polished and cold, with one courtyard left open to the weather.
上海都在室内。圆形玻璃中庭直着往上看，黑墙上黄铜的数字 13 和 14，混凝土的 V 字框住窗外一道弧墙，一条玻璃走廊收着整片天际线，一间墙刷成黑白条纹的房间。然后是美术馆：石板院子里排着长凳和一汪静水，头顶垂着弯曲的形体，暗处立着一排金色的柱子。冷、亮，只有院子敞着天。
