Take the colour out and what is left is structure: which lines carry weight, which gaps are doing the work, how much of the frame the sky is allowed to have. The trees in these pictures are leafless, which is not a season I went looking for but the one that shows the drawing. A branch in leaf is a mass. A branch in winter is a diagram of every decision the tree ever made about where to put its weight. Hong Kong and the winter north turned out to be the same picture made twice.
把颜色拿掉，剩下的就是结构：哪几根线在受力，哪几个空当在干活，天空被允许占多大一块。这里面的树都没有叶子，这不是我去找的季节，是唯一一个能把图本身露出来的季节。有叶子的枝条是一团，冬天里的枝条是一张图，写着这棵树这辈子在哪儿放重量做过的每一个决定。香港和北方的冬天，最后是同一张画了两遍。
